  14. FOMC Meeting • The Committee discussed the range of policy tools available to promote a stronger economic recovery in a context of price stability.  • It will continue to assess the economic outlook in light of incoming information and is prepared to employ these tools as appropriate

  15. FOMC: Four Key Ideas 1st: There will be no rate hikes until mid-2013. 2nd: The Fed says downside risks to the economy have grown. 3rd: The Fed is prepared to use additional tools if warranted. 4th: Three Fed members have dissented from the FOMC decision.
