  5. Project Topic Ideas: Weather related – climate change (snow & ice measurements, air & water temperature, tides) Survey (SCEP/ECW) local food – links to climate change & biodiversity – GHG Emission Home heating – green alternatives Harnessing Tides

  6. Internet Research Choose a topic of interest and investigate Report back to the group Why does this topic interest you? How is it relevant to our community? What type of data (quantitative) could be collected & analyzed? List 2 online resources related to this topic.

  7. Introduction Review articles from a peer-reviewed journals and answer the following question: What general ideas are discussed in the introduction sections of research articles?

  8. Introduction - Report Each student must write an introduction for our research report including the following: Overview of topic Specific problem to be investigated (why bother researching this?) Research published on this topic Summary of project

  9. Introduction - Report Guidelines to be followed: Format – ½-1 page, 12 pt. Times New Roman font, double spaced, include references (see wiki for APA format information). Due by December 18th – email to Mrs. de Jong at: sabrina.dejong@nbed.nb.ca *Reports may be featured on the wikispace
