Komodo dragon, where it lives and what it eats • The komodo dragon is one of the biggest reptiles on the planet. • The komodo dragons natural home is on the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rintja, Padar, and Flores. • komodo dragon are carnivores and will eat anything meat that they can find. When an animal walks near the dragons hiding spot it will charge towards the animal and try to sink its teeth into the underside of the animals neck.

What hunts komodo dragons and diseases • Humans seem to be the only one that hunts these dragons. • humans hunt the komodos because they think that the dragons are dangerous. • Since it is a reptile it doesn't get much diseases but when it is in captivity it usually gets some sort of skin and foot infections. When its in the wild it doesn't get diseases that much but it is affected by ticks and stuff like that. • I chose this organism because I already knew a couple of things about it.

  4. How will not having the komodo dragon affect the environment • Not having the komodo dragon would mean that it couldn't fulfill its niche. That’s all I can find about it.

  6. What is being done to protect the komodo dragon. What needs to be done to repopulate the dragons • A lot of things are being done to protect the komodos. Such as making their habitat an animal reserve and stuff like that. • A way to repopulate the species is to get a couple of them to a breeder and do it that way. Or we could keep them in the reserves that they are in now.

  7. How did the komodo dragon become endangered • The dragon became endangered from people hunting them down and stuff like that. • Some poachers hunt the dragons down to turn them into purses and stuff like that.
