  5. SENIOR PICTURES! • All seniors who have taken pictures can come to all lunches TODAY to pick which photo they would like in the yearbook. • ALSO, November 10th is the ABSOLUTE LAST CHANCE for makeup senior pictures and will be NO more opportunities after this!

  11. Dance Team Fundraiser • The Hopewell Dance Team will be selling Attractions Dining and Value Guides starting in October. They cost 20$ and pay for themselves after 2 uses. There are thousands of dollars in local savings, and are full of coupons. Stop by room 847 to purchase one. The proceeds will help the Dance team fundraise for their Spring Competition!

  13. Women’s Lacrosse There will be workouts every Wednesday at the HAP field in Huntersville @ 3:30-5:00. There will be another interest meeting soon, so stay tuned! New players are welcome!!

  14. SAT Prep and Math Prep • For math assistance download Wolfram Alpha from the app store. • For SAT vocabulary Prep download Mind Snacks from the app store.

  16. TEACHERS: • Teachers letting your recycle bin run over, this is the procedure you should follow: • Send a responsible student with bin to rollout. The rollouts are located at each workroom except 900. they are located in stairwells. • Dump bin into rollout and return empty bin to class. • The custodian assigned to that area will then take rollout to recycle dumpster. • Empty rollout will then be returned to proper location.

The drive-thru will remain open for business. • Cookout will be posting NO LOITERING signs on their property and have signed an Authorization to Act Form giving Huntersville Police authorization to act on their property • Failure to comply will result in being arrested

Fisk University Club Information Session • Saturday, November 8, 2014 • RSVP by Nov. 1ST! • For this event they will be looking to talk with their students in grades 9-12 and with their parents, school counselors, school coaches, community leaders • Upperclassmen are asked to bring ACT/SAT scores, letters of recommendation.

  24. University of Tennessee Volunteer Scholarships • UT has created a newly defined scholarship program for outstanding volunteers • Need to have a minimum of 3.8 weighted UT core GPA and a super scored SAT or ACT. • Students must meet the December 1st regular admission deadline.

Central Piedmont Community College • CPCC Representative, Connor Deason will be in the Career Center and at some lunches to talk with students individually and in small groups about attending CPCC if you would like to make an appointment for one of the following dates: November 12th @ 9:30-11; December 10th @ 9:30. • Mr. Deason will also hold a regular College visit on Oct. 29 at 9:30. Assistance League of Charlotte Scholarship • Are you looking for scholarship money? • Have a minimum weighted GPA of 3.0? • Are you planning to attend one of the 16 campuses of the University of North Carolina? • Scored a minimum combined total score of 1500 or minimum of 21 on ACT? • This scholarships, not exceeding $10,000, provides funding towards tuition, room and board, required fees and books for freshman year at one of the campuses. • The 2015 application is online at www.charlotte.assistanceleague.org • Return all paperwork to Ms. Conner by 2/18

Charlotte “Queen City” Chapter • The Charlotte “Queen City” Chapter of North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University Alumni Association has established a scholarship program for the student(s) attending North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University. There will four $500 awards to incoming freshman. All applicantions must be received by March 31st to be considered for this scholarship.   36. Colonial Dames of America National Essay Contest • Students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, who are not previous winners are eligible to enter.
