  2. What Is Speech • A speech is a formal/informal talk of an individual in front of the audience gathered in one place to hear a message. • Speech uses conversational style. It’s structure is just like the written essay except that a speech has top be even more specific and engaging.

  3. Importance of Speech • An activespeaker is a leader. People like you, trust you, and want to be led by you. However, contrary to popular belief, people are not born public speakers. • Public speakers motivate their listeners to make a change. It could be to stop or start something, try something new, or reach their goals. Public speaking is criticalbecause the speaker can motivate others to go in the direction they wish, and the speaker can motivate others to be their best selves.
