  2. Reading/viewing • Continue your activity on the blog. Use your university library to search for further information about the relationship between (tension?) technology and education, and in particular any discussion relating to old and new pedagogies. • Post your findings on the course blog.

  3. Blogging • Based on your experience of using themindfuleducator blog this week, answer the following questions • What was your role in relation to the blog? Contributor, spectator, initiator, collaborator, etc.? • What were the most important aspects of this process to you? i.e. what are your lasting impressions? • How does the activity on the blog contribute to your understanding of what is important when learning?

  4. T-PACK: A FRAMEWORK Any questions or concern about this model? i.e. are we OK to move forward with this model? TPACK is about how to bring these different ‘teacher’ comeptencies together to design activity ‘in context’. Discuss with the person next to you a lesson design you have put together. Have the person map your description to the TPACK framework.

Blogging in education Text-based discussion platform, allows student to link ideas between and within posts, and external ‘expert’ sources, and focal content Blogs used for public discussion, reflexive learning and sharing resources Blogs enable safe, asynchronous environement for reflection and group discussion Learning refers to becoming literate in field of discourse; CoP, LPP, participation vs. reification Text discussing contemporary views on TEL and how to map tech to pedagogy – author recognised ‘expert’ in field of TEL Text, and input from experience allows students to both enter contemporary discussion by ‘experts in TEL, and engage in authentic discussion with practitioners

  10. PEDAGOGY AND TECHNOLOGY This is often conceived as a shift from lower level to higher level thinking; beginner to advanced. Curricula are correspondingly designed to shift from one side to the other. Do you agree with this conception?

  12. Now imagine you’re working with a mobiles, computers and the internet…. Can these enhance this in anyway you do you think? What needs to happen before you can replicate the activity digitally?
