The Seventh Day Adventist population of Loma Linda are truly among the happiest people on earth. • The population strictly observes the Sabbath as a day of rest, observance and mediation. • The church's holistic devotion to people's health and spiritual well being dominates daily life in Loma Linda.

  3. There are no bars in town, strict zoning laws against alcohol sales are tightly enforced. • Smoking is all but obsolete in Loma Linda • Most Adventists are vegetarian. • The citizens maintain a healthy weight and participate in daily exercise.

  4. If a member of the population should fall ill the city is home to the nationally ranked hospital, the Loma Linda University Medical Center. • Loma Linda has very low crime rates particularly in comparison to other Southern California communities. • The population of more than 21,000 is downright cosmopolitan: Almost half the residents are nonwhite.

  5. Loma Linda is recognized as a Blue Zone Community, where people live longer and happier lives • High social engagement and close interaction with family members makes the people of Loma Linda, CA the happiest on earth.
