Geo LoB Activities and Accomplishments • Common Services Work Group • SOW Package approved for “sufficiency” by GSA Legal on February 27 • Contracting officer anticipated release by March 6. • WG conducted “rollout” package workshop February 25. • TIMING: Anticipate conduct of TEB ~35 days; RFQ available ~ May 15. • Michelle Torreano of EPA has accepted nomination for Chair of the Common Services WG! • Geo-enabled Business Work Group • Participated in ESRI Federal Conference • Conducted successful conference • Conducted lessons learned session and initiated planning for ESRI International Conference in July. • Thanks to those who stopped by the booth!

Geo LoB Activities and Accomplishments • Grants and Contracts Work Group • Participated in initial Grants Policy Committee’s Pre-Award Work Group on February 26 • PROCESS: Work directly with Pre-award review process as part of monthly agenda. Additional requirements may emerge as we work though this effort. • Technical Architecture Work Group • Geospatial Profile Version 2.0 issued for interagency review January 23; agency comments received. • WG is conducting meetings to refine product in anticipation of updating the previous profile. • COMMENT OPPORTUNITY: Document has been refined and updated to reflect comments of Spring 2008 review and is posted on FGDC Website at http://www.fgdc.gov/geospatial-lob - Geospatial Profile Version 2.0, Draft 5.6

GeoLoB Activities & Accomplishments Con’t. • Lifecycle Management Work Group • The A-16 Supplemental Guidance was endorsed by all 22 federal agencies • A-16 Supplemental current under review by OMB legal – pending action. • ACTION: WG has been reviewing workplans. First theme oriented group conducted an organizational work session at the ESRI Federal Conference – thanks to the Facilities Theme WG. Other subcommittees are anticipated to test the approach agreed upon in the A-16 Supplemental Guidance. • Business of GeoLoB • Charter Review Team will conduct a brief organizing meeting later this week and initial face-to-face meeting on March 10 to begin review and update of FGDC Charters. This is FGDC Secretariat activity. • Preliminary work plan updates have been prepared for working groups to identify primary activities for each work group. Planning of a work session for the last week of March (considering CG & WG Chairs schedules) for a review of activities and targeting results and outcomes. At least a half day session is proposed to review overall plans.
