  1. The Environment: Forecasting Natural Events and Demographic Changes By Zachary Winiecki Period 5

  2. Flowchart Explanation All the components connect to the network Device is turned on Data is recorder by the components The software then uses all types of maps and the forecast and analyzes them. Data is automatically inserted in the software by the components A weather forecast is created A renewable resource prediction or “forecast” is created. The information can then be sent to other people. The renewable energy forecast is then compared to actual results.

  3. Flowchart Explanation • Components connect to Network • Information collected • Forecast created

  4. Flowchart Explanation • Data Analyzed • Resources predicted • Predictions verified • Data sent

  5. Hardware • Cloud Tracking Camera • Tracks cloud movement from space. • Output

  6. Hardware • Cloud Imaging • Tracks clouds from Earth • Recreates Map • Output

  7. Hardware • Weather Sensors • Collects forecast data • Output

  8. Hardware • Wind Turbine • Records amount of power it’s generating. • Output

  9. Hardware • Solar Panels • Records the amount of power it’s generating • Output

  10. Hardware • Server • Holds all the information from the components.

  11. Software • Hybrid DA Renewable Energy Forecaster • Combines information • Creates Forecast

  12. Stakeholders • Civilians • The Government

  13. Advantage • Civilians • They will get reliable information on renewable energy.

  14. Disadvantage • Civilians • They will have to pay higher taxes.

  15. Advantage • Government • They will save money and political grief.

  16. Disadvantage • Government • Pay more money to switch to renewable energy infrastructure.

  17. Ethical Concern • Reliability • People will get reliable renewable energy forecasts

  18. Ethical Concern • Policies • The users will have to make new policies.

  19. Ethical Concern • Standards • New renewable energystandards will be needed
