  1. Bhuvneshwar Kumar shares how he stayed motivated during injury lay-off Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the Indian pace bowler will soon is seen in action during the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka. He is considered as one of the best fast-bowlers in India but Bhuvneshwar hasn't played for a long time due to his injuries. He had earlier sustained a thigh muscle injury during last year's Indian Premier League which ruled him out of the tournament as well as the tour of Australia too. But he has recovered now and all set to play against Sri Lanka as well. "When I was almost recovered, domestic cricket was going on as well. So my focus was to get fit and make a comeback and then I started the preparation for the match. Before the England series, I played domestic cricket, so that it helps me get the required match practice. One shouldn't take things lightly, while playing domestic cricket and that kept me motivated to play for India and to stay fit," he shared.

  2. However, six uncapped players have earned their maiden call up to the Indian squad which will be led by Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be the vice captain of the team as well in the absence of Virat Kohli and his limited-overs deputy Rohit Sharma respectively as they are in England for the upcoming five-match Test series against the hosts as well. Notably, Devdutt Padikkal, pace bowlerr Chetan Sakaria, Nitish Rana, Krishnappa Gowtham, Ruturaj Gaikwad have earned their maiden India call-up whereas Varun Chakravarthy too has been recalled. "We have good players and they have experience of IPL, they are young but they have experience of IPL, playing T20 for so many years and they have done well for their teams," Bhuvneshwar Kumar said on the Star Sport show 'Follow the Blues.' "So, it will be beneficial for the team that they will carry the confidence of IPL and they are young and talented, there is a good mix with the experienced players and this will be a good tour. Young players who have come for their first tour and came after doing well in IPL so if they do well here then it will be great for their confidence," he further added. The series will be comprised the three ODIs and as many T20 Internationals will now begin from July 18 as well.
