  2. SHRM Foundation Overview Mission: The SHRM Foundation advances global human capital knowledge and practice by providing thought leadership and educational support; and sponsoring, funding and driving the adoption of cutting edge, actionable, evidence-based research.

SHRM Foundation Overview Programs: • Support researchers who bring us greater understanding of the complexities of HR (research grants) • Assist individuals in their pursuit of greater academic credentials (scholarships) • Create complimentary materials that explain how practitioners can capitalize on the new knowledge that research provides (educational products)

  4. Research Grants The SHRM Foundation is the leading funder of HR research. • Provides multi-year grants for high-impact, original HR research • $2.6 million funded since 2007, totaling more than 120 research projects • Relevant, actionable insights for HR practitioners

  5. Research Grants Research shows what works and builds HR’s credibility. Broad range of research topics funded: • Healthy Adoption of Mobile Communications • When Talent Loss Poses the Greatest Risk • Best Places to Work: How “Making the List” Impacts the Strength and Sustainability of Subsequent Recruitment and Turnover Outcomes

Scholarship Programs We are shaping the future of HR by investing more than $150,000 annually in education and certification scholarships. • $100,000 annually to support SHRM members pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree or professional certification • 100 awards: 20 education ($2,000 each) and 80 certification ($750 each) • Online Application available in March • Applications are due July 15 • $50,000 annually for SHRM student members for education or professional certification • Online Application; applications are due November 1
