  1. Solar Energy By JJJC Solar Electricity

  2. The Sun • The sun fully rotates every 27 earth days. • The Sun over 870,000 miles wide. • Over one million Earths can squeeze into the Sun • The Sun is 92% hydrogen, 7% helium and the rest is other gasses • The Sun’s core is 27 billionFahrenheit • The Earth could not support life without the Sun

  3. How a Solar Panel Works • Conductive metal plates are put out in the sun • Pipes filled with water are put over them • The pipes get hot and the water turns into steam • The steam travels through the pipes and into the super heater • The super heated steam travels through more pipes to get to the turbine and causes it to turn • While the steam goes to the condenser to turn back into steam, the turbine turns the magnet or wire coil to make electricity • The electricity goes through the transformer and out

  4. Solar Water Heater • Tubes are laid across pieces aluminum and the tubes are covered in sheets of copper or black material. • Then the sun’s rays heat the copper/black material, which will heat the pipes, heating the water. • These Tubes of hot water are twisted with pipes that hold the cold water that is going to go out the faucet. • The cold water is now warm and is ready to use.
