  2. What is Solar Energy? Solar Energy is a source of energy that is created by a natural reource. Solar panels create electricity through the suns reflections. The solar energy is also a easy to use source of energy.

Photovoltaic's at work. • Photovoltaic's (PV) is another way to generate electrical power by converting solar radiation into direct electricity to a home, using semiconductors that display the photovoltaic’s effect. The photovoltaic power generation applies solar panels composed of many solar cells containing a photovoltaic material.

  4. How does it work? • Solar energy works by the simple use of the sun energy. The sun hits the solar panels which have the photovoltaic material (PV) the solar panels reflect that heat onto metal tubes. These metal tubes contain water and this water gets heated and turns into steam, steam turns the turbine the turbine turns the generator and the generator creates the electricity.

  5. Is it Renewable or Non-Renewable? • Solar Energy is a renewable source because a natural resource (the sun) makes it. Solar energy is also a renewable source because its doesn’t take years to form like fossil fuels do.

  6. What are the advantages of solar power? • The first advantage is its cheap once you build it. • It doesn’t create acid rain. • Does not create global warming. • It is renewable.

  7. What are the disadvantages of solar power? • Its unsightly. • It is only suitable in certain areas. • Its unreliable. • Its expensive to build.
