  2. DUE TO SEVERE CHALLENGES POSED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, MANY SMALL BUSINESSES ARE AT THE RISK OF CLOSING. DUE TO THIS, THE OWNERS ARE EXPLORING WAYS TO SUPPORT THE STABILITY AND PROFITABILITY OF THEIR BUSINESSES. NOMERSBIZ THE GOVERNMENT TOO IS TAKING MEASURES TO PROTECT THEM. TO MITIGATE THE NEGATIVE IMPACT OF THE CORONA OUTBREAK, THE US GOVERNMENT HAS ENACTED THE ‘PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM’ UNDER THE CARES ACT.

  3. WHAT IS THE PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM (PPP)? NOMERSBIZ PPP provides short-term financial assistance to SMEs with the primary goal to address the economic challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

  4. HOW SMALL BUSINESSES WILL BENEFIT FROM PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM? Funds received under PPP should be utilized for covering the following expenses: Payroll costs, including salary, wages, commissions, or trips.. Interest on mortgage obligations incurred on or before February 15, 2020. Rent raised from lease agreements that were enforced before February 15, 2020. Utilities (like water, electricity) for which service began before February 15, 2020.

  5. WHO ALL ARE ELIGIBLE FOR PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM? The following SMEs that was operational till February 15, 2020, are eligible for PPP loans: NOMERSBIZ A small business that has less than 500 employees, otherwise, meets the SBA’s size requirements. Sole proprietors, self-employed persons, and independent contractors. They must submit the 1099 form. A registered hospitality or food service business that has less than 500 employees per physical location. A non-profit organization with fewer than 500 employees and a tribunal business entity that meets the SBA requirements.
