  3. Creed of Lambda Chi Alpha We believe in Lambda Chi Alpha, and its traditions, principles and ideals. The Crescent is our symbol, pure, high and ever-growing, and the Cross is our guide, denoting service, sacrifice and even suffering and humiliation before the world, bravely endured if need be in following that ideal. May we have faith in Lambda Chi Alpha and passion for its welfare. May we have hope for the future of Lambda Chi Alpha and strength to fight for its teachings. May we have pure hearts that we may approach the ideal of perfect brotherly love.

Values of Lambda Chi Alpha • Loyalty: faithfulness or a devotion to a person, country, group or cause. • Duty: the sense of moral commitment to something or someone • Respect: positive feeling of esteem for a person or other entity, and also specific actions and conduct representative of that esteem • Service and Stewardship: Stewardship is the belief that humans are responsible for the world and should take care of it. Service refers to work done by one person or group that benefits another. • Honor: honesty, fairness or integrity in one’s beliefs and actions • Integrity: a concept of consistency of actions, values, morals, methods, measures, principles, expectations and outcomes. • Personal Courage: mental or moral strength to venture, preserve, withstand danger, fear or difficulty. • Leadership: the process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task.
