  4. Webshop User Test • Immersion Students built their own Webshops • Conducted to Empathize with Previous Users • Ask pertinent and intelligent questions while collecting data • “Fresh eye” perspective • Observations • Formatting • Video and Graphics • Time to create a Webshop

  5. Collaboration • 5 out of 13 respondents have collaborated to create Webshops. • Respondents who have collaborated have done so by meeting face-to-face and by email. • 10 out of 12 indicated that they would be interested in collaborating.

  7. Support • 85% of the training received has been in the form of “cheat sheets” and 46% said face-to-face • Staff stated that there are very few directions within the template system

Technology • Currently previous authors use SmartBoards, PowerPoints, videos, and LCD projectors when delivering face-to-face training. • 85% of the authors surveyed considered themselves advanced or expert users of MS Word and PowerPoint, but most rated themselves as less than proficient in the use of other tools.

Interface • Previous Authors stated that the templates are easy to use. • They like the consistency of the templates and the ability to cut and paste. • Not being able to track how many people are actually viewing the Webshops is a concern • Time consuming • Current template system has limited media options. • Text heavy.

Other Optimals • Remove HTML barrier for basic formatting -Many feel it should be automatic -If it must be incorporated, there should be help within the system • Accessibility compliancethroughout the templates -Make tags, descriptions easier to include -Use a transcription software for videos • Incorporate e-learning environment -Add interactive e-learning tools

Recommended Design Directions • Recommend tools and provide support that meets the staff's needs effectively and efficiently • Make the process of creating Webshops more efficient by updating the template interface • Design an “ideal Webshop” that demonstrates what good interactive training looks like and how to develop it using our recommendations and designs • Research and develop a system of interaction between: • T/TAC staff collaborating on projects • T/TAC staff and the learners using Webshops • Different end-users of T/TAC Online
