  3. Rotary This Month (RTM) e-Bulletin of D3310 on Rotary Knowledge and Information

Intent & Purpose • to e-blast Rotary Knowledge to all 1,900 D3310 Rotarians • to be communication and PR media for D3310 • to present Rotary Knowledge in a fun and participative way • to includeGML (Governor Monthly Letter) subsequently as single monthly communication medium to D3310 Rotarians

  5. Frequency and Timing • Monthly Publication of 12 issues for RY 2012-13 (July 12 to June 13) • Every 1st day of the month • Deadline for submission is one week before the end of the month

  6. Aimto be e-bulletin of D3310 Rotarians, by D3310 Rotarians and for D3310 Rotarians • Publication is based on submission and relevancy to the structure of the bulletin • Section editors will ensure minimum standard is observed and maintained and also copy-edit for readability and consistency • Web technologist Clarence Yong will do the final layout for professional presentation to D3310 Rotarians

  13. Call for Action Your Participation • Read only what appealto you • Share with your fellow club members or friends the interesting points you read • Go through Rotary knowledge as ritual of club activities and participate in Rotary Quiz • Keep a copy for future reading and reference

  14. Call for Action Your Contribution • Happenings • Advertise your activities around your club • Diary • Report your club projects, • Send in photo-news of your club activities and • Give reflections as Rotarian • Moments • Write down the Rotary activity that touched your heart and submit to us

Challenges Ahead Accessibility • Only 1,400 email accessible out of 1,900 Rotarians • Create awareness and interest • Phase 1 -- club secretaries sent in the emails of club members • Phase 2 – self registration at D3310 website • Phase 3 – promote RTM icon in club news bulletin • Phase 4a – presentation to clubs upon invitation by DRIC regional chairs and AG • Phase 4b – encourage spouses of Rotarians to register asdirect recipients of RTM • Maintain as cost effective and efficient medium of communication for D3310

  16. Challenges Ahead Submissions • Voluntary submissions are still very few and far in between for the last 3 months (July-August-Sept) • Sharing of information in the district is still not Asian way • Writing report is still a major hurdle for majority (time and skill)

  20. Collector Item • 12 issues of RTM 2012-13 will be compiled into CD • Sponsorship is needed for low cost distribution • Volume of 6 CDs will be distributed at nominal price
