  1. Instant Bonding Adhesive is well-matched for Outside Situation James K. Brouk White school grade glues are made for school or home use only. These glues will not stand the harshness of hot weather, and will melt in rainy weather. Naturally, white glue should not be used for home repairs, or to glue broken things back together. If you are not sure about how to stick glass items together, you might want to invest in instant bonding adhesive for outdoor and home use. Super Glue Instant bonding adhesive comes in many names under the market, including Super Glue, Instant Bond, Bulldog, and more. These are best suited for things that white glue cannot handle, such as wood, porcelain and glass. They usually come in small tubes with a small tip that can be used to apply to small areas. Some instant bonding adhesives also come with activator sprays. Just spray it onto your glue, and it will harden and adhere like magic. No nails or clamps are needed, though you might need to press down on the items to be adhered for a few hours, depending on which brand of adhesive you use. What most “how to repair your glasses” tutorials miss is that sometimes more than screws can be broken. This is were strong bonding adhesives are needed. With a quick application, even broken frames can look as good as new. Instant adhesive can also be used for car trimmings, leather, stone and more. They are also waterproof, though humidity might affect the bonding strength of some products. Tips and Tricks Most instant adhesives can also be used as fillers when baking soda is used. (Hugogard, James in IPMS Stockholm, 2006). Simply fill in the gap or hole with adhesive, and pour in baking soda to allow it to set. This comes up with a slightly rough surface that can be sanded to smoothness. Health Hazards Most super glues come with cyanoacrylate. When inhaled, cyanoacrylate fumes can be harmful to one’s lungs. It is best to avoid breathing in directly from the bottle. It can also irritate the eyes, so be careful when coming into contact with these adhesives. A word of warning is that cyanoacrylate glues do not work with glass (Hugogard, James in IPMS Stockholm, 2006). Some glues are also volatile. They should be kept away from open flames, or other substances that caan react violently with the chemicals inside the glue. Thus it is very important to choose your brand of adhesive wisely. It is also important not to be reckless when using instant adhesive. Some wayward users have unwittingly glued their eyes shut or placed the glue on some parts of their body, where they ended up stuck to certain surfaces. If you have accidentally placed strong adhesive on yourself, submerge the affected part in warm water and call a Poison Control Centre, just in case.

  2. Remember to use your adhesives wisely, and you can show others how to repair glasses and outdoor items with a tiny bottle of glue. Just remember to cap it well after use. James K. Brouk is a writer who looks up the possible benefits and health hazards of home glues. He also shows how to stick glass items together and how to repair glasses with instant bonding adhesive.
