  2. What Is Harmonization? • Compare Pipelines and Logistics Existing Policies and Procedures • Review Impact on Other Group • Resolve any conflicts and issue • Some Will Be Easy but Many Will Not!!

  3. Path Forward • 74 HSSE Policies and Procedures Exist that Need to be Harmonized • Ranked and Prioritized  • Target is to Complete Implementation of all Policies and Procedures by End of 2007

  4. 11 Critical Procedures • Safety Policy and Philosophy (4Q 06) – Issued Dec. 18, 2006 • Personal Protective Equipment (1Q 07) – Issued May 31, 2007 • Vehicle Safety Policy (3Q 07) – Issued August 1, 2007 • Hot Work (3Q 07) • Authorization to Work (3Q 07) • Fall Protection (4Q 07) • Excavation / Trenching and Shoring (4Q 07) • Lifting and Rigging (4Q 07) • Accident Reporting and Investigation (4Q 07) • Confined Space (4Q 07) • Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO) (2Q 08)

What Does This Mean to You? • Contractors will be sent a notice which will focus on what has changed versus existing policies, for those policy that directly affects the contractor • One Pager for Each Harmonized Policy • Personal Protective Equipment • One Pager sent in June to 1500 contractors • BP Team Leads, Project Managers, etc. also informing contractors during pre-bid activities • PPE One Pager

  6. PPE Update • Standard PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, and safety shoes will be required for all PLBU employees and Contractors at all work sites effective September 1, 2007.  • If you currently have this PPE, you should be wearing it now.

  7. FRC Update • The Fire-Resistant Clothing (FRC) rollout will begin September 1, 2007 and continue through the end of the year. • To Be Determined on Regional Rollout Schedule

  8. What Do You Need To Do? • Read the entire Policies when they are Issued • Support Implementation …the debate is over!
