Modules are active learning • Think about best practices in teaching and learning. • Modules should be engaging/emotional connection (Make it Stick) • Use scaffolding in module development. • Modules are written for faculty and include the student activity(ies) as part of the completed module. • Modules should be adaptable by other faculty. • Team based or pair-based modules

  4. Why does this matter? • The importance of quantitative reasoning for public debate and social change. • Connecting students to the “emotional” importance of why numeracy matters. • The importance of “emotional connection.” • The Public Professor
