Learning target • I can explain how culture (literature, language, arts, customs, beliefs,) defines my chosen group in the world today and how this group shows a unique perspective. • Answer- Rugby in their culture is like football is in our culture they wear their favorite jerseys and paint their faces a lot like we do with our favorite teams.

  3. When was rugby made? • Rugby was created at Rugby school in the town of Rugby Warwickshire, England in 1823 by William Webb Ellis. He was the first person to pick up a soccer ball and run with it in a soccer game and changing and breaking the rules.

  4. How do fans participate in rugby • They paint their faces. • Wear jerseys • Paint stomachs • Make masks • Wear big glasses • Hats

  5. When was football made? • Football was made in 1876 by Walter Camp. • An influence on him was William Webb Ellis. • He got the idea from the game of Rugby and the game of Soccer.

  7. Common strategies and techniques • There goal is both too run the ball into the end zone. In both sports the objective is to try to advance down the field to the other teams end zone but in rugby you are not allowed to throw the ball in front of you it has to be behind them or to the side of them.
