  2. ILWS science in Slovakia Based on individual activities of the Institutes of Slovak Academy of Sciences, and of the Universities • Institute of Experimental Physics, SAS, Košice (Department of Space Physics) • Energetic particles in space (solar, interplanetary, magnetospheric processes) • Cosmic Rays (ground based observations) and space weatherhttp://neutronmonitor.ta3.sk More at http://space.saske.sk

  3. ILWS science in Slovakia • Astronomical Institute of SAS, Tatranská Lomnica • solar outer atmosphere activityusing combined space-born satellite instruments (SOHO: SUMER, CDS, EIT;TRACE, RHESSI, STEREO) and ground-based telescopes (DOT/LaPalma, SST/LaPalma,VTT/Tenerife) • Ground based coronographic measurements More at http://www.astro.sk/

  4. ILWS science in Slovakia • Geophysical Institute of SAS, Bratislava - Magnetospheric physics • Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, Comenius University Bratislava -cosmogenic nuclides, links of cosmic rays to environmental studies More at http://nccospar.saske.sk

  5. Participation in space missions Presently in orbit (in cooperation with other laboratories in abroad): - Double Star (TC-2), energetic neutral atoms NUADU Rocket experiment (HotPay2, recently, in Norway, energetic electrons) Data from past satellite experiments: Interball-1, 2 and subsatellite – energetic e,p DOK exp, 1 s data (IEP SAS) CORONAS-F – SONG (gamma and neutrons) – plots at http://space.saske.sk/projects/songm/data.php?lang=1

  6. Future missions • Radioastron (SPEKTR-R): - MEP-2 energetic particles(IEP SAS) • Resonance: • DOK-R energetic particles (IEP SAS) • Interhelios: • Solar neutrons, gamma (IEP SAS?) • BepiColombo: • PICAM ion mass spectrometer (partial contr. IEP SAS ?) • Solar Probe: • Solar neutrons, gamma (IEP SAS??, expression of interest) • Cosmic Vision 2015 – 2025 proposals: Cross-Scale - Energetic particle detector (expression of interest, IEP SAS, jointly with others?)
