Teacher of the Year of JA-YE Europe – awarded to Lyudmila Rizhuk from “Vasil Levski” High School in Velingrad • JA Startup program alumni Georgi Kadrev and Chris Georgiev and their company Imagga – finalists at the Intel Global Business Challenge in UC Berkeley and Silicon Valley, November 2012, one of 24 teams worldwide

Major developments entrepreneurship education will be integrated into the compulsory preparation with the new Law on Education 1638 teachers trained in entrepreneurship programs for grades 1-4 756 schools implement JA programs in grades 1-4 total outreach: above 1000 schools total market penetration: about 30 % at least 30 open classes with substantial media coverage and parent involvement

Major developments trained 28 trainers in elementary grades programs pilot trainings for middle grades - 120 teachers in 80 schools in 2012 15 universities are part of JA Startup Program Strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science and joint strategy for the development of entrepreneurial competence JAB – major stakeholder in the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem: cooperation with seed capital funds

Major developments Sustained relationships with major partners, donors and corporate sponsors: America for Bulgaria (3-year agreement for 150,000 EUR finishing in September + new 3-year agreement for 192,000 EUR signed), Citi, Nestle, Microsoft, HP, Sofia Municipality, GE New successful relationships – President Plevneliev special guest and patron at our two biggest events Blagoevgrad – pilot region for introduction of entrepreneurship education in all schools
