  2. Sein Leben und Werk Der in Ansfelden bei Linz geborene Anton BRUCKNER war kompositorisch sehr vielseitig tätig. Er schuf 9 Sinfonien, 3 große Messen, eine Vielzahl geistlicher und weltlicher Chorwerke und er gilt als DER Orgelimprovisator des 19. Jahrhunderts. Seine Hauptwirkungsstätte war das Stift St. Florian, wo er als Stiftsorganist tätig war. Die "Brucknerorgel" gilt heute als eine der bedeutendsten Kirchenorgeln der Welt. In einer Gruft, die genau unterhalb des Orgelspieltisches liegt, befindet sich heute das Grab.

  10. Die 4. Sinfonie Die vierte seiner neun Sinfonien trägt den Beinamen „Die Romantische". Sie entstand in den Jahren 1874 bis 1880 und wurde 1881 in Wien uraufgeführt. Sie hat eine Aufführungsdauer von ca. 65 Minuten.
