  1. The Eastern Imperial Eagle BY Matthew Goforth

  2. What Is it, and where does it live? The Eastern Imperial Eagle is a large bird of prey that is found in South-Eastern Europe to Central Asia and lives in open woodlands with thick understory mixed with open areas for hunting for food.

  3. What does it eat? The Eastern Imperial Eagle eats rabbits and hares, fairly large birds, snakes and lizards, fish and bugs, and it also scavenges for food.

  4. What would happen without them? With out the Eastern Imperial Eagle, all of the animals that it preys on would begin to over populate with out anything to control their population.

  5. What is being done? To prevent the extinction of this animal it and its habitats are protected. You can not hunt it or build on its land. This is all that can be done really.

  6. Why is it endangered? The Eastern Imperial Eagle is endangered for many different reasons some of them being hunting, poisoning, removing of eggs and chicks, nest destruction and even the fact that a lot of the chicks will push the others out of the nest.

  7. Why did I pick this animal? I picked the Eastern Imperial Eagle because I have always just liked birds and especially birds of prey and plus I just thought that it looks cool too.
