Human Resource Planning • Human Resource Planning: planning to satisfy a firm’s needs for employees. • Forecasting Staffing Needs • Job Analysis: the analysis used to determine the tasks and the necessary credentials for a particular position. • Job specification: states the credentials necessary to qualify for a job position.

  16. Managers periodically meet with their employees on an individual basis in order to provide an evaluation of their progress and to pinpoint deficiencies (if any). The managers may provide a formal evaluation in writing, but it is also helpful to communicate the key points directly to employees and to allow them to respond to the evaluation.
