UNECE Trade Facilitation Vision

Dr. Carol Cosgrove-Sacks, Director of Trade Division at UNECE, shares a vision for creating and sustaining international trade facilitation and trade-related standards, tools, and policy. Trade facilitation offers benefits to both governments and the business community, improving economic efficiency and reducing costs while enhancing government controls and security. It attracts foreign investment, supports global supply chains, and builds transparency. UNECE and its initiatives aim to simplify trade procedures and provide technical assistance for implementation, with a focus on policy dialogue and development of norms and standards for the new economy.
