READ: EZEKIEL 11:1-4 JUDGMENT ON WICKED COUNSELORS 1 Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the East Gate of the LORD‘S house, which faces eastward; and there at the door of the gate were twenty-five men, among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people. 2 And He said to me: "Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity and give wicked counsel in this city, 3 who say, 'The time is not near to build houses; this city is the caldron, and we are the meat.' 4 Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man!"

WHERE DID THE SPIRIT TAKE EZEKIEL? WHO WAS AT THE EAST GATE? WHAT DID THE SPIRIT SAY CONCERNING THESE MEN? WHAT DID THE SPIRIT WANT EZEKIEL TO DO?

WHERE DID THE SPIRIT TAKE EZEKIEL? WHERE WAS THE GLORY OF THE LORD? READ: EZEKIEL 10:18-19 18 Then the glory of the LORD departed from the threshold of the temple and stood over the cherubim. 19 And the cherubim lifted their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight. When they went out, the wheels were beside them; and they stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD‘S house, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them. NKJV

WHO WAS AT THE EAST GATE? ARE THESE THE SAME MEN IN EZEKIEL 8:16? READ: EZEKIEL 8:16 16 So He brought me into the inner court of the LORD‘S house; and there, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the east. WHERE DID THE JUDGMENT OF THE LORD BEGIN? READ: EZEKIEL 9:6 6 Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary." So they began with the elders who were before the temple. NKJV

READ: JEREMIAH 29:8-10 8 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. 9 For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says the LORD. 10 For thus says the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place. NKJV

READ: MICAH 3:1-3 1 And I said: "Hear now, O heads of Jacob, And you rulers of the house of Israel: Is it not for you to know justice? 2 You who hate good and love evil; Who strip the skin from My people, And the flesh from their bones; 3 Who also eat the flesh of My people, Flay their skin from them, Break their bones, And chop them in pieces Like meat for the pot, Like flesh in the caldron." For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." NKJV

Surely, had I sent you to them, they would have listened to you. NKJV

'Thus says the LORD: "Thus you have said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind. WHO IS SPEAKING TO EZEKIEL? WHAT DOES THE SPIRIT WANT HIM TO DO? READ: EZEKIEL 2:2-3 2 Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard Him who spoke to me. 3 And He said to me: "Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day. NKJV

READ: EZEKIEL 3:24-25 24 Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet, and spoke with me and said to me: "Go, shut yourself inside your house. 25 And you, O son of man, surely they will put ropes on you and bind you with them, so that you cannot go out among them. READ: PSALMS 139:1-4 1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether. READ: EZEKIEL 7:23-24 23 'Make a chain, For the land is filled with crimes of blood, And the city is full of violence. 24 Therefore I will bring the worst of the Gentiles, And they will possess their houses; I will cause the pomp of the strong to cease, And their holy places shall be defiled. READ: JEREMIAH 39:4-5 4 So it was, when Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, that they fled and went out of the city by night, by way of the king's garden, by the gate between the two walls. And he went out by way of the plain. 5 But the Chaldean army pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho. And when they had captured him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, to Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced judgment on him. NKJV

READ: EZEKIEL 11:7-11 JUDGMENT ON WICKED COUNSELORS 7 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Your slain whom you have laid in its midst, they are the meat, and this city is the caldron; but I shall bring you out of the midst of it. 8 You have feared the sword; and I will bring a sword upon you," says the Lord GOD. 9 "And I will bring you out of its midst, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and execute judgments on you. 10 You shall fall by the sword. I will judge you at the border of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the LORD. 11 This city shall not be your caldron, nor shall you be the meat in its midst. I will judge you at the border of Israel.

I will judge you at the border of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the LORD. 11 This city shall not be your caldron, nor shall you be the meat in its midst. I will judge you at the border of Israel. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE HOUSE OF JUDAH?

READ: JEREMIAH 1:13-15 13 And the word of the LORD came to me the second time, saying, "What do you see?“ And I said, "I see a boiling pot, and it is facing away from the north." 14 Then the LORD said to me: "Out of the north calamity shall break forth On all the inhabitants of the land. 15 For behold, I am calling All the families of the kingdoms of the north," says the LORD; NKJV

READ: LEVITICUS 26:25 25 And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. READ: ISAIAH 66:4 4 So will I choose their delusions, And bring their fears on them; Because, when I called, no one answered, When I spoke they did not hear; But they did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight." READ: JEREMIAH 42:15-16 15 Then hear now the word of the LORD, O remnant of Judah! Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: 'If you wholly set your faces to enter Egypt, and go to dwell there, 16 then it shall be that the sword which you feared shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt; the famine of which you were afraid shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there you shall die. READ: DEUTERONOMY 28:36 36 "The LORD will bring you and the king whom you set over you to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other gods — wood and stone. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE HOUSE OF JUDAH? DID THE LORD WARN THEM ABOUT THIS? READ: PSALMS 106:41-43 41 And He gave them into the hand of the Gentiles, And those who hated them ruled over them. 42 Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were brought into subjection under their hand. 43 Many times He delivered them; But they rebelled in their counsel, And were brought low for their iniquity

READ: EZEKIEL 5:7-8 7 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: 'Because you have multiplied disobedience more than the nations that are all around you, have not walked in My statutes nor kept My judgments, nor even done according to the judgments of the nations that are all around you' — 8 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: 'Indeed I, even I, am against you and will execute judgments in your midst in the sight of the nations. NKJV

  33. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 11:10-11 JUDGMENT ON WICKED COUNSELORS 10 You shall fall by the sword. I will judge you at the border of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the LORD. 11 This city shall not be your caldron, nor shall you be the meat in its midst. I will judge you at the border of Israel. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE HOUSE OF JUDAH? WHERE WILL THE LORD JUDGE THEM? READ: 2 KINGS 25:20-21 20 So Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, took these and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah. 21 Then the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive from its own land. NKJV

Then you shall know that I am the LORD. 11 This city shall not be your caldron, nor shall you be the meat in its midst. I will judge you at the border of Israel. WHERE WILL THE LORD JUDGE THEM? READ: JEREMIAH 52:9-11 9 So they took the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he pronounced judgment on him. 10 Then the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. And he killed all the princes of Judah in Riblah. 11 He also put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in bronze fetters, took him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.

Then I fell on my face and cried with a loud voice, and said, "Ah, Lord GOD! Will You make a complete end of the remnant of Israel?"

QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 11:12-13 JUDGMENT ON WICKED COUNSELORS 12 And you shall know that I am the LORD; for you have not walked in My statutes nor executed My judgments, but have done according to the customs of the Gentiles which are all around you."'" 13 Now it happened, while I was prophesying, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. WHAT HAPPENED TO PELATIAH? WHAT DID EZEKIEL ASK THE LORD?

QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 11:12 JUDGMENT ON WICKED COUNSELORS 12 And you shall know that I am the LORD; for you have not walked in My statutes nor executed My judgments, but have done according to the customs of the Gentiles which are all around you."'" WHAT DID THE LORD TELL THEM IN THE BEGINNING? READ: LEVITICUS 18:2-4 2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'I am the LORD your God. 3 According to the doings of the land of Egypt, where you dwelt, you shall not do; and according to the doings of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you, you shall not do; nor shall you walk in their ordinances. 4 You shall observe My judgments and keep My ordinances, to walk in them: I am the LORD your God.

READ: DEUTERONOMY 12:29-31 29 "When the LORD your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, 30 take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, 'How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.' 31 You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way; for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. NKJV
