  8. Fukushima Accident EP Activities • Focus is on multi-unit aspects of response • Staffing • Communications • Dose assessment • Equipment and facilities • Training and exercises • Addressing public comments on the proposed rulemaking • Tier 3 Near Term Task Force and other recommendations

Fukushima Accident EP Activities • Near Term Task Force recommendation 11.3 “Study the efficacy of real-time radiation monitoring onsite and within the EPZ (including consideration of AC independence and real-time availability on the Internet)” • Study has been performed and documented • Position will be formulated whether or not such monitors could significantly enhance public health and safety and should be required • Position will be presented to Commission for consideration by end of CY2016

New Reactors • Vogtle and Summer under construction • South Texas Project, Units 3 & 4 COL issued • Watts Bar Unit 2 operating license issued • COL applications – 4 under review • ESP applications – PSEG hearing completed • Design certifications –1 re-certification started, 1 under review • Radioisotope Production Facilities – 1 application under review; 1 construction permit issued • Several small modular reactor (SMR) design certifications planned • SMR early site permit - 1 planned
