  2. Identify and write the day of the week in French: • This day of the week is in the middle of the week and we have our odd block on this day. It is named after the planet Mercure. • This day of the week is the first day of the week on a French calendar. (Hint: It is not Sunday!) • On this day we like to say TGIF. It is the last day of the school week. • This day is named after the Roman god Saturn. We don’t go to school on this day and it is NOT known as the Lord’s Day. • On this day we have our even block day. It is named after the Norse god Thor and the planet Jupiter. • This day was named after le soleil. In Latin it is called “Dies Dominica” (the Lord’s Day). • This day is named after the Roman god of war Mars.
