  1. How could this graph represent Holy Week ?

  2. Holy Week Part 2 K how Catholics celebrate the days of Holy Week U why each day of Holy Week is important to faith U what each day of Holy Week reveals about Jesus

  3. Write out the 4 days of Holy Week, leaving 1/2 page between each heading. For each day of Holy Week, you need to know What does this day teach about Jesus/ his mission? How do Catholics celebrate it? Why is it important to Christian faith? You will be given this info, but it’s up to you to work out which Holy Day it refers to. When you have guessed, make your own notes from the info.

  4. Exam Question Explain why Holy Week is important for Catholic Christians. HW is important because… • Christians reflect on what Jesus is like: • as King (Palm Sun): humble, saving his people • as Servant (M.Thurs): humble, serving others • as Son (M.Thurs): obedient, trusting (Gethsemane) • as God’s witness (Good Fri):(to the Sanhedrin who asked him who he was; to Pilate: “I have come to bear witness to the truth”) • as source of our salvation (M.Thurs, Good Fri): • last supper, death on cross: forgiveness of • sin, making possible eternal life with God. Because of HW, Christians will be inspired to be an example of: - humility & obedience - service to others - faith & trust - witness - accept suffering In HW, Christians will also - deepen their faith through prayer & thanksgiving for Jesus’ sacrifice - repent: go to Sacrament of Reconciliation, fast, make up for any wrongs done
