The Leadership Challenge • We Believe - • That leadership and management are complimentary yet different concepts • That leadership is about setting the direction for the organisation, service, team so that the individual can see their contribution • That employee engagement is central to organisational success – we need ‘engaging leaders and managers’ • Cultural integration is a key priority • The Council will succeed through the talent of our people who are enabled and supported. • Leaders should have emotional intelligence.
