  7. My name is Shilpi. Hi!

  8. I live with my family in a slum in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. Like all the people in our community, we have very little money to live on but we do the best we can.

  9. This may surprise you, but I don’t have most of the things you do. NO BIKE NO CDs NO TV NO SCHOOL

  10. But then one day, something exciting happened!

  11. A woman from this group called SATHI, which is a project of the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee came to see my Ma.

  12. Since then, things have been getting better for my family, and for ME!

  13. I’d love to tell you all about it!

  14. Join me for five days at my home in Dhaka. I’ll tell all about how: my Ma learned to read, my Dad started earning more money, my little sister got the vaccines she needed, and how I finally got to go to school, All because of what my family learned from SATHI and CRWRC!
