Unfortunately, not every woman is blessed with long hair. And since the hair grows at a relatively slower pace than one would like it to be, one of the best ways of fulfilling their wish for long hair is by using hair extensions. They do not need to go to a salon and get permanent or semi-permanent hair extensions since they can use clip-in hair extensions at home easily. Hair extensions are the biggest hit among women of all age groups since they are easy to use and can be used to give hair a lot of volume and length instantly. Here is a step-by-step tutorial to help you start using clip-in hair extensions: Step 1: Brush your hair thoroughly. If you have curly or wavy hair, make sure to detangle it properly. Since clip-in hair extensions are going to add weight to your natural hair, make sure that your hair is not damp since it can get damaged if you add extensions to it. Step 2: Section off your hair vertically from the crown area to your ear and use clips to keep the section in place. Now start dividing it horizontally, starting with the bottom layer of your hair. Depending on the number of extensions you have to put in your hair, start from an inch or higher from the nape of the neck. Step 3: Once you have the first section, apply dry shampoo or texturizing powder to your hairline. Massage gently it into the roots. This will add hold and grit to your hair and ensure that the extensions stay in place all day. Step 4: Start clipping the hair extensions one-by-one from the bottom. You will add extensions on both sides of your hair from the center part to keep it uniform. If you have 8 pieces of extensions, make sure to put them in sections at equal distance from one another. Step 5: Once you have clipped in all your hair extensions, smooth it out with fingers. You can use a brush lightly as well. However, brushing with soft hands is suggested since the brush can get stuck in the clip of the hair extensions and cause tugging. Keep a check on several types of hair extension and wig options such as lace hair wigs available nowadays. To look prettier and gorgeous, buy the one that suits your precise hair extensions needs and budget.
