  1. Dr. James E. Martin ENDURING FREEDOM Dr. James E. Martin

  2. FREEDOM– Such a wonderful word

  3. Operation Enduring Freedom • Name given to ongoing battle against terrorism • Personally involved for a few years

  4. Another Look at Freedom

  5. Freedom Today Taken for granted by many To some it means liberty to do whatever I wish Freedom of others is often ignored

  6. Freedom is the right and ability to do what Is right.

  7. There is a freedom that many, who enjoy what they consider to be freedom, know nothing about.

  8. This particular freedom is that which is TRULY ENDURING!

  9. This particular freedom is totally ignored by multitudes today WHY?? They have no REAL understanding of their own enslavement

  10. Before you cast this aside and consider me to be one who has gone off the deep end, Please consider what the Bible has to say about the matter

  11. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” John 8:32 “…verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” John 8:33

  12. The simple truth, my friend, is: • All who are born are born already enslaved in sin • This is true regardless of your acceptance of the truth • “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” • Romans 3:10

  13. ALL have sinned ALL, according to John 8:32, previously stated, are SERVANTS OF SIN

  14. Good News!!!! Freedom is possible!!!

  15. “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36

  16. Freedom (true freedom, enduring freedom)is possible. BUT It is ONLY possible in the SON

  17. HOW DO I KNOW THIS FREEDOM???? Glad you asked!!!

  18. A Admit the truth that you are a sinner “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 “The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” Psalm 14:1

  19. Admit that you cannot save yourself and, therefore, NEED A SAVIOUR “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2:8 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

  20. R Repent Repent of sin as the Word of God requires Repent= “A change of heart, which leads to a change of mind, which leads to a change of behavior.”

  21. “…The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 1:15 Please notice 2 particular words in the above passage. REPENT BELIEVE

  22. B BELIEVE: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 That Jesus Christ loves you and gave His life for your redemption

  23. 2. Nothing else is needed. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 1:12

  24. C COME AND CONFESS “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

  25. “Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. Luke 12:8,9

  26. Many other verses could be referenced, but these should suffice. • Repeated words in preceding slides such as: • Eternal • Everlasting • All refer to the idea of E N D U R I N G FREEDOM

  27. CLOSING COMMENTS • Are you a possessor of enduring freedom? • Is it true in the Biblical sense? • If not, Why not?? • Comments are always welcome. • Amazing Grace Military Ministries • jmarty0129@yahoo.com
