  3. Why CACFP? • Need for nutrition in order to learn and participate • Greater Nutritional Opportunity • Potential for program growth • Security of finances v. donation based

  4. Success! • Connection with 150 kids each week • Over 6000 Meals in 2013 • Partnerships • Schools – Champion School • Faith Organizations • Students scores increasing 30-50% • Greater draw for parents because of meal

  5. Contribution • Better Nutrition • Volunteer Participation – Over $400,000 of value from our volunteers • Meeting a tangible need • Greater focus and behavior

  6. ODE Grants • Allow for major equipment purchases not otherwise available • Provided means for expansion • Vary menu options and greater variety
