  2. Japans growing militarism was combined with an extreme form of nationalism. Some nationalists joined with a group of army officers in efforts to overthrow the civilians government. Why did totalitarianism spread so quickly after WWI?

  3. After world war 1 Japan became less aggressive. It helped them form the League of Nations in 1902. In the 1030s, the extreme economic depression launched Civilian rule and caused Japan to move toward a policy of militarism. Japanese military began to become more powerful and to play more active role in politics. How did WWI affect Japan?

  4. The military leaders set up a military dictatorship in Japan. • Japan did not have a single strong leader. Instead, a small group of military leaders dominated the government in the 1930s. • Japans had many feature of totalitarianism state which means that the government has a total control over its citizens. • Japans sought to expand its living space and started to take over other territories, as a result Japan left the league of nation. What Conditions led to the collapse of the old government ?

  5. The Mensei party intellectuals and urban workers. They supported the totalitarians they felt that they will be protected if they stood by the side of the totalitarians. Who supported the totalitarian and why?

  6. The dictator seized power by using the military to increase power and play a better role in politics. How did the dictator seize power?

  7. The dictator continued to develop the military and prepare the nation for war. What reforms did the dictator bring about?

  8. This can not happen here because most of the countries that this occur in are communist countries. Everyone has to be the same, and in the United States we have our rights. Could this happen here?
