  1. Unit 6: ID Policy and Guest Pass

  2. Welcome to Unit 6! Here you will learn all about ID Policy and Guest Passes! This specifically includes information for “family of” ID’s and the rules and regulations when students and faculty/staff bring in guests that are visiting to work out in the fitness room!

  3. Family of ID’s? What are those?! Have you ever had someone come into the fitness room and hand you a family of ID? Many faculty/staff’s family members take the time to use the fitness room and have a special “family of” ID that we swipe at the desk. Next are some simple rules for patrons with these ID’s!

  4. Family of ID’s Rules • Family members must be 16 years old to use the fitness room • 16 year olds must be accompanied by their family member at all times • They don’t have to be accompanied by their family member if they are 18 and over • Patrons with family of ID’s cannot bring in and register guests of their own

  5. Family of ID’s Rules Cont. It is also important that all patrons with a “family of” ID present some form of identification other than the ID. These can include: • Driver’s license • Passport • Any state issued ID

  6. Guest Passes? We have them?! So you’re sitting at the desk greeting patrons and swiping ID’s. Suddenly, a patron walks in and says, “Hey! Can my friend from home work out with me today?” What do you say? YES of course! But as recreation assistants there are a few rules and regulations we need to know when we are approached with this scenario!

  7. Guest Pass Rules • All guests must be 16 years old • All guests of patrons are limited to 10 uses per semester • Guests must be accompanied by their sponsor at all times • Sponsors of guests are only allowed 10 guests per semester • Sponsors are only allowed 1 guest per day

  8. Guest Pass Rules Cont. • Guests are not allowed to participate in Group X classes • Guests are not allowed to check out equipment • Guests are not allowed to participate in any recreation programs (intramurals, special events, sports clubs, etc.)

  9. Guest Pass Rules Cont. Remember: When a patron brings in a guest to use the fitness room it is NOT free! All guest passes are $5.00 and must be paid before they use the facility.

  10. Guest Pass Rules Cont. Here are the simple steps for registering a guest: • Swipe the sponsor’s ID (are they valid?) • Obtain and fill out a receipt from the cash box • Take money and give the WHITE copy of the receipt to the sponsor/guest • Place YELLOW copy and money in cash box • Record transaction on the cash box sheet

  11. End of Unit 6! Now that you’ve completed Unit 6, you should fully understand all rules and regulations for family of ID’s and guest passes. If you ever forget anything, you can always come back and brush up on the facts! Also, there are 2 websites that can help! Family Of ID’s Guest Passes
