  2. Current Hiring Process • DD meets with county leaders • Position posted on-line for 3 weeks • Applicants screened by Martha Thompson, district director, assistant director • Martha does phone interviews with top candidates • Martha, DD and AD decide top three candidates to interview

  3. Current Hiring Process • Interview Committee: Martha Thompon, Quentin Tyler, Karen Ramage, DD, AD. • Top candidate has final interview with Dr. Henning, who reviews county list of preferred characteristics. • Reception in the county either before or after start date.

  4. Scenarios for Leader Involvement in Agent Hiring • After vacancy DD meets with county council/DB. Stop gap is discussed in necessary. Position is posted for three weeks. • Three Scenarios • Various levels of leader involvement • Talk about LIKES, DISLIKES and IMPROVEMENTS for each.
