  2. BACKGROUND OFANTICORRUPTION PROJECT IN EDUCATION 1 Lithuanian State Anticorruption Programme: • 4.1.4. aims: “to encourage and promoteintolerance for corruption in cooperation with NGO’s and mass media; • to develop and implement anticorruption programmes in education and science.”

BACKGROUND OF ANTICORRUPTION PROJECT IN EDUCATION 2 The Law of Corruption Prevention,which states: • “Raising anticorruption awareness is integrated part of society’s education in order to develop individuals ethics and citizenship, understanding of personal rights and responsibilities for society and state in order to maintain the implementation of corruption prevention goals”. • “Anticorruption education is implemented in all types and levels of education institutions according developed programmes, by mass media and other means”.

  4. PROJECT AIMS • To develop anticorruption programme and methodical recommendations for the secondary schools of Lithuania • To train teachers-consultancies of the project, further responsible for the dissemination activities

  5. PROJECT OBJECTIVES • To build project team – pilot schools. • To develop training programme. • To test anticorruption education strategies and methods at schools. • To arrange anti-corruption week in project pilot schools. • To introduce developed programme and methodical recommendations to the Ministry of Education and Science.

  12. INTEGRATED ANTICORRUPTION PROGRAMME AIMS: • to acquaint with the danger of corruption; • to promote the intolerance for corruption; • to fight against corruption.

INTEGRATED ANTICORRUPTION PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES: • to introduce the concept of corruption, its causes and effects (knowledge); • to promote intolerance for phenomena of corruption (values and attitudes); • to demonstrate possibilities of fighting against corruption (skills); • to support the programmes and standards of education by promoting democratic values and attitudes.
