  1. “Protective Strategies” Bulletin Board Directions: Change fonts and colors to your liking. Print PowerPoint using these settings: Under “Page Setup,” slides “sized for on-screen show”. Under “Print,” make sure you print as “Slides” and not handouts or notes, and one slide will print per page. Use each page as a different cut-out for your bulletin board. Arrange however you want!

  2. Know your limit!

  3. Eat before and while drinking.

  4. Space and pace your drinking to about one per hour.

  5. Experiment with drinking less and turning down drinks while having fun.

  6. Keep track of how much you drink.

  7. Alternate between non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.

  8. Drink for quality, not quantity.

  9. Avoid hazardous drinking games.

  10. Avoid shots and/or drinks with liquor.

  11. Stop drinking when you feel dizzy, nauseous, or tired.

  12. If you choose to drink, drink slowly.

  13. Keep active. Don’t just sit down and drink.

  14. Have a friend let you know when you have had enough.

  15. Don’t mix alcohol with other drugs.
