North Korean defectors • Lots of defectors are located in China, however, Chinese government are sending defectors back to North Korea, where they will die • Against Convention Relating To The Status of Refugees, protecting refugees’ freedom • According to United Nation, China joined this convention in 1982 • Current situation of North Korean defectors • Physical injuries, mostly, Unbalanced Nutrition • Emotional traumas, recovery from the Brainwash • Human rights violations, such as selling women as prostitution by Chinese brokers who acts to help North Koreans

Call for actions: Donation • SAM Care International • A non-profit organization of America • Donate money, medical emergency supply kits, vehicles, medical products and volunteers (Especially doctors) • Dream Makers For North Korea • A non-profit organization of South Korea created by a former congresswoman, Sun-Young Park. • This organization helps the North Korean defectors’ rights, such as building special schools, nursing homes, and projects for defectors’ life improvements

  6. Audience participation • The U.S. government is already persuading Chinese government • Few years ago, President Obama directly called the former Prime minister of China, Fu Jin Tao, to stop sending the defectors back to North Korea • Also lots of non-profit and Christian organizations are helping North Korean Defectors • Audience’s own participation • Writing responses such as essay, letters, poems or drawing • Audiences can share their emotional feelings and sympathy towards the defectors • Responses will be a collection book, which will be used to inform and educate students to teach about their valuable life in free countries, and raising international and humanity awareness
