  4. ATTENTION ALL SENIORS (CLASS OF 2014)! We are looking for seniors that are interested in auditioning to give the Welcome Speech during Graduation. In the past, the following languages have been represented: • English • Spanish • French • Somali • Vietnamese • Cambodian • Amharic However, other languages are always welcomed! Auditions will be held on: Tuesday, April 8 afterschool in Counseling Center! See Ms. Naranjo or Ms. Angel-Zavala in the Counseling Center to sign up!

  5. Hoover Track Team Update! Congratulations to the Hoover Track and Field team for some outstanding performances at the Arnie Robinson Invitational featuring over 20 teams at Mesa College on Saturday, April 5th. • Junior Ester Nofadgiwas 1st overall in the women's discus. Her mark places her now as 11th overall in this event in the San Diego Section all divisions combined. • Freshmen Sammy Teklaywas 3rd overall in the frosh/soph 1600m. His time places him now as the 24th fastest freshmen in this event in the San Diego Section all divisions combined.

  6. Hoover Track Team Update! • Freshmen Demontez Gray was 1st overall in the frosh/ soph 100m. His time places him now as the 14th fastest freshmen in this event in the San Diego Section all divisions combined. • SeniorMulugetaEndgaw was 1st overall in the varsity boys 1600m, and 6th overall in the varsity boys 3200m. • SophomoreAwalHussen was 2nd overall in the varsity boys 1600m. His 1600m time places him as the 9th fastest sophomore in this event in the San Diego Section all divisions combined!
