Hermine Significant flooding, and Flood-related deaths, TX/OK/AR particularly Along I-35 Dallas-Ft Worth The heavy rains produced major flash flooding, water rescues and road closures, mainly along the Interstate 35 corridor between San Antonio and the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and across southeastern Oklahoma into western Arkansas.  At least two flood-related fatalities have been reported with this event in Texas. Nicoleand tropical moisture 8+” Update on the Heavy Rain and Flooding in the Eastern U.S.Key Points • The precipitation associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole has ended across the Northeast U.S. • However, flooding continues, especially across eastern North Carolina and southern Virginia, and in upstate New York, Vermont and New Hampshire. • At least eight deaths have been reported from the storm, all apparently in vehicle accidents.

  10. Hurricane Otto Additional landslides Thursday night and Friday morning have isolated several families in mostly rural areas of Puerto Rico where one family remains isolated at this time. Currently, over 134 persons remain in shelters after being displaced from the floods/landslides. The municipality of Utuado has been the most impacted by landslides. In total, 140 landslides have reported that are impacting 69 roads across Puerto Rico. – SR-ROC Note: WFO San Juan requested QPF support from HPC at a recent Hurricane Conference. HPC started providing this support in 2010.

  15. Collaboration on Rainfall and Flood Threat What is the best way to communicate heavy rainfall threat? Hotline Calls are not the option for a number of reasons. Do WFOs feel the need to collaborate these advisories?
