  1. The Muscular System Shaquasia,Janiya,Angelica,Vincent,Nazela Class 712

  2. Common diseases and disorders. • Three common Diseases and Disorders of the Muscular system is called a Compartment Syndrome is a very common disorder that builds up inside around the body’s muscle and resulting crushing injuries. • Rhabdomlyosis is another common disease that can damage both muscle and kidneys by casing the fiber in the muscle to slowly break down. Muscular Dystrophy is a disease that can cause the muscles to be damaged.

  3. Parts of the system and their jobs. • The muscular system is important because it is needed to exercise and move. • Biceps which is called the bra chi muscle is the upper arm-front side, it has seven functions but the most important is to rotate the forearm and to flex the elbow Pectorals is the chest muscle which is called the pecks it is used for pushups it is a thin triangular muscle.

  4. Parts of the systems Jobs (continued) • Brachiradilis is a muscle of the forearm and its functions is that is flexes the arm at the elbows. • Gastramemius muscle which is called the calf muscle is a powerful muscle that is in the back of the leg, its functions is used for standing, walking, running and jumping. • Gluteus Maximums is a muscle that is the largest and most superficial muscle. (It is the part of the buttocks) its function is used for sitting.

  5. Parts and its Jobs The muscular system is important because it serves many important functions it provides the shape and form of our body in addition to supporting and protecting blood for the body and strong minerals for the body to survive. The muscular system is important because if the human body had no skeletal system, muscular system we would not be able to move. Adenosine triphosphate- High energy molecule found in every cell of the body. Adenosine is needed for the body to have energy to move and work.

  6. Why the Muscular system is Important to the Body • The Muscular system is important to the body because in order to survive, you’ll need to move around be able to walk and run, stand, and do exercises. • The human body contains more than 650 individual muscles which are attached to the skeleton. Which provide the power for us for us to move around. • The muscular system consists three different types of muscles tissues. Skeletal, and Cardiac. Each different tissue has the ability to contract then it follows body movements and functions. There are 2 types of involuntary muscles in the system that allow us to move around and control ourselves to move.

  7. Functions of the system and the parts. • The definition of the muscular system is the anatomical system of a species that allows it to move. The muscular system in vertebrates is controlled through the nervous system. • Although some muscles (such as the cardiac muscle) and can be complete autonomous. The functions of the muscular system are heart muscles, skeletal muscles, and non strained muscles. • They are provided by strength, balance, posture and movement in the heart for the body to keep us warm.

  8. Functions and the parts of the system • The muscular system is a type of muscle system that controls your balance, posture. The muscular system is the system in your body that you need in order to move around. • The muscular system also keeps your body warm by your heart protecting. The muscular system is controlled through the nervous system.

  9. Vocabulary Superficial - Concemed with or understanding only the obvious. Compartment syndrome – a type of muscular disorder that builds up pressure inside. Rhabdomlyosis- is a disease that damages the muscle and kidneys Dystrophy- is not one but a group of diseases that weakens you and causes lack of ability to do things Muscular Dystrophy is a disease that can cause the muscles to be easily damaged. Myocardium- a tissue that makes up the wall of a heart in the human body Adenosine triphosphate- High energy molecule found in every cell of the body. Forearm – the part of the human arm between the elbow and the wrist, or the corresponding part of an animal’s foreleg. Vertebrates- Having a backbone or spinal column. Anatomical- The structure of an organism or any of its parts. Autonomous- existing and functioning as an independent organism
