Nicodemus and Samaritan Woman • He was a Jew – a Pharisee • He was a man • He was learned a teacher in Israel 3:1 • He was morally upright seeking Jesus • He was a wealthy man from upper class of society • She Was a hated Samaritan • She was a lowly woman • She was ignorant and unlearned • She was of a sinful character 4:17-18 • She was poor and probably an outcast

Anticipation - The Hint Of Jesus To Living Water Vs. 10-15 • Jesus took the conversation to the next level by a hint • She doesn’t understand Jesus’ teaching • Jesus purposely used ambiguous language • She had the same problem as others before her • Jesus tantalized her thinking – If you knew who asked • Jesus took her thinking to the next level Vs. 13-14

Identification - Jesus Identified Who He Is That Offered Water Vs. 16-20 • She still doesn’t understand who asked her for water • Jesus reveals something about her to reveal Himself • Jesus exposed the woman’s need for something greater than water • He turned her from the physical to the spiritual
