Areas Regional Statistics Used Province Coordination and Monitoring System (İKİS) • Needs; • - Updated, sustainable, standard and reliable local information source, • Effective communication platform between local and central • government • Institutional capacityatlocal level (planning, coordination, monitoring • and evaluation) • Purpose; • - To generate a common information and communication platform to support; • Coordination and monitoring processes in provinces, • Central –local communication • Participation of the local stakeholders in planning process. - Sectoral and investment project information are accessible for 81 provinces

Areas Regional Statistics Used Socio-Economic Development Index (SEDI) • Aim; • Ranking provinces and NUTS II Regionsw.r.t. their socio-economic development level • Determination of provincial groups according to their development level Methodology; • Principal Component Analysis, creating an index from many differentindicators • 61 indicators (demography, education, health, employment, competitiveness, finance, accessibility and other life quality indicators) have been used for 2011 SEDI Index
