Policy Retrenchment 2010 Spending Review – OCS budget slashed by around 60% • Futurebuilders and Changeup closed • Capacitybuilders and Compact Commission abolished • Strategic partners reduced (42 – 11) and funding cut • Compact ‘renewed’ Local authority support for sector also under threat from average of 25% cuts, and 51% of public funding comes from local authorities

  10. Projected impact of spending cuts If the planned spending cuts are passed on proportionately, the third sector will lose around £1.2 billion per year by 2015/16, and £3.3billion in total.
