Motivation Factors of Young Engineers – Document produced 2008 • PEPP YEAC distributed a survey to over 4,000 young engineers (younger than 35) at different stages of their careers and in various disciplines and geographical areas with over 600 responses received. • The document included information on: • Generational Parallels – Compare Gen X/Gen Y/Millenials • Motivating Factors – • De-motivating Factors – • Dispelling Myths – Are the next generations really that different? “Think about why you became an engineer in the first place. Chances are the answer to that is different for everyone.
