Pilot end game • Focus on Anti-Submarine Warfare • AIR 9000 Phase 8 • 24 aircraft → 8 flights (1:2) → 11 ships • 1st Pass February 2010; 2nd Pass 2011 • Initial operational capability “a matter of urgency” circa 2014 • Crew of three: • Pilot aircraft captain • Observer mission commander • Aircrewman sensor operator • Two logical competitors
